"During the snow storm our house was hit by a 5,000 pound tree. We called a lot of construction people for help. Charley actually called us back and drove through the storm to see what was going on. He realized fairly quickly that we'd taken on substantial damage. With the big box stores closed he actually went back to his house to take things apart to get extra lumber. When members of his crew couldn't make it out to help, his wife, who usually just does the books, chipped in to help him get the last few supports in. He worked until 11pm, and thanks to that we didn't need to evacuate our house. On top of that, he was thoughtful throughout the process about not over-billing and didn't take advantage of us in spite of our desperation. "Charley Bancroft is doing a fantastic job on my home remodel! He is an expert craftsman, honest, hard working, creative, meticulous, and conscious of my need to stay within my budget. "Charley does a superb job. I was on a tight budget and even tighter schedule when I bought my house in Durham, and needed an immediate, complete bathroom renovation before moving in. Charley worked me into his schedule and within days, he had the bathroom completely demoed and a new subfloor system with up-to-code joists installed. Not long after, he and his wife picked out an outstanding set of tiles, and created a masterpiece of a bathroom. The place is stunning. He is a perfectionist and will get the any job done flawlessly, I am convinced, and at a very reasonable price. I cannot speak his praises enough.
